 Al Hethcock is a native Texan who grew up in the Rio Grande Valley. He graduated from the University of Houston with a B.S. in Psychology and Washington University in St. Louis with a Masters in Hospital Administration. Al is the owner and president of Fund Raising Associates, Inc., a full-service fund raising consulting firm. Besides Rotary, lie has been active in the YMCA. Chamber of Commerce, Mental Health Association, Goodwill Industries. American Red Cross and Boy Scouts of America, serving on the board and/or as president of the same in Dallas, Longview, and Victoria. He has served as President of the Executive Committee and Board of the Casa Hogar “El Refugio,” a children’s home in Matamoros, Mexico. Al and his wife, Peggy, have done volunteer work there for over a quarter century.

Al is a member of the Arlington Sunrise Rotary Club. Prior to that, he was a charter member of the Victoria Sunrise Rotary Club, where lie served as Club Presi­dent in 1988-1989. He served as District Governor of District 5930 in 1991-1992. Al has had membership in seven Rotary clubs and five Rotary districts.

Al presently serves District 5790 as District Trainer, member of the Finance Committee, Advisory Committee and Fund-Raising Project Chairman. He has served in all leadership positions while in District 5930. lIe has served as a consultant to the Development Committee of ‘Ihe Rotary Foundation Board of Trustees for three years. Zone Commu­nity Concerns Task Force Coordinator for 1998-1999. Al has served Lone Star P.E.T.S. as Discussion Leader, Chief Sergeant-At-Arms, Facilities Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Operating Chairman in 199~i-l995. and as a trustee for the Board of Directors for the past five years (three as Secretary).

Al and Peggy have four married daughters, one married son, and 17 grandchildren. Both Al and Peggy are Paul Harris Fellows and both are Benefactors.
